A man who Ann Arbor police say robbed a bank Monday and led officers on a chase is being held on $500,000 bond, police said. Kye W. Abraham, 32, of Stockbridge, was arraigned Wednesday at the University of Michigan Hospital on charges of bank robbery, fleeing and eluding, resisting and obstructing officers and felonious assault with a motor vehicle. Abraham is accused of robbing the TCF Bank branch at 125 Briarwood Circle, then leaving on a bicycle.

Police say he rode the bicycle into the Briarwood Mall parking lot after the 5 p. m. robbery and loaded it onto a pickup truck. A woman in the malls parking lot was suspicious of him and called 911.

She followed the truck until police caught up with it on Jackson Road near I-94, police said. Investigators say Abraham refused to pull over. Washtenaw County sheriffs deputies put down spike strips, bringing the truck to a stop on Parker Road near I-94 on the border of Scio and Lima Townships, police said. Abraham was apprehended 30 to 40 minutes after the robbery, police said.
